Managing Director
Mike Barron, a former Head of Merseyside Police Stolen Vehicle Squad with many years experience in this specialist field. Whilst serving in the police Mike also obtained a Masters Degree in Criminology and has lectured in the United States. He pioneered commercially viable partnerships between the police, the finance and insurance industries to combat fraud by organised gangs of criminals in the vehicle sector. This led to spectacular recoveries of vehicles and because of that success he was seconded to the Metropolitan Police to set up similar projects for them. He received a commendation for his work in London. Following his appointment at CFS Ltd. Mike has used his experience in investigating fraud to lead a number of key projects on behalf of the company. These have included managing a major contract for a national transport company as an outsourced Head of Security, investigating a major fraud by the Director of an international shipping company involving enquiries in the USA and investigating another fraud by a Director of a large firm of Electrical Contractors.
Director
Peter Ferguson, is an ex police officer with over twenty years experience of corporate fraud investigation in the police service and more recently as Head of Security for a major IT manufacturer. In addition whilst Peter was a police officer he was an accredited financial investigator under the auspices of the National Criminal Intelligence Service as well as being a member of the Police National Working Party on Financial Investigation and Money Laundering. He has also lectured both nationally and internationally on the subject.
Director
Brian Marsden, is a Chartered Accountant by profession who has many years experience in the corporate sector. He is a former managing partner of one of the largest regional practices of Chartered Accountants in the North West and a former Finance Director for a major PC Manufacturer. Having dealt with many sales, acquisitions and management buyouts he brings a wealth of commercial awareness to the field of combating theft and fraud.
